My research focuses on the study of historical astronomical documents in order to improve the bibliographic descriptions of these resources, thereby seeking to achieve more accurate scientific information retrieval.

In 2012, I did a research stay in the Library of the Royal Institute and Observatory of the Spanish Navy (ROA) (San Fernando) for the study of star atlases and catalogues between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. I have published articles in national and international journals (Revista Española de Documentación Científica, Library Resources & Technical Services -LRTS-, Journal of Documentation, The Cartographic Journal, etc.) and have attended as a lecturer in Spanish congresses (VI Ibercarto and XXI Congreso Estatal de Astronomía).

The main result of my thesis in collaboration with Dr. Molero Madrid, is a new data model from which we have designed a proposal of elements to improve de description of historical astronomical resources. In February 2016, the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), has awarded the article about this proposal the distinction of being "the best article publised in LRTS in 2015".
